My cat Domino

Domino!

        I love my kitten Domino he is a small kitten and very enthusiastic.Domino makes a big mess for such a small cat.He never stops eating until his food bowl is empty and he won't stop meowing until he gets more food. Domino was my present from Christmas and is a rescue cat from Southern Pines. I found him when we stopped to look at kittens since we were already in Hattiesburg for my Mom's doctor appointment. Domino was there with three other cats and they were really hard to choose from. I think Domino likes his new home and now I want to foster other cats in our area because there are so many other stray cats around here and it is very sad to see them on the streets.We have had other stray cats that have come up to our house but this is our first cat that I have adopted. Ava, our German Shepard is never around Domino because Ava does not like cats. Domino likes to hide under my bed. Sometimes he will jump out of nowhere and attack your feet. He has the loudest purr and it will keep you awake if you're close to him. Domino must be very patient because he tolerates Vivian when she walks around the house holding him wherever she goes. Domino has a very shrill meow and usually when I hear it, I have to yell at Vivian to put him down.

Hi! My name is Wes

Hi, My name is Wes I'm 7 years old and in 2nd grade.  Me and my little brother Ian share a room. We have a dog named Ava and a cat named Domino and I like Legos.  

I like to help Ian sound out words as he learns to read. I'm holding Domino in my lap

We are going to Austin in about a week. We are going there on my birthday and I hope to do IFly while we are there. I like being home schooled because its fun to stay home and do school and go places and do school.

The chicken is ready!

I love cooking! At first I only liked making sweets for my dad,but lately I have started cooking with meat. Last night I made roast chicken and macaroni and cheese from a new cookbook we got over Christmas called kids' kitchen. I like Kid's Kitchen because everything is made from scratch.  Cooking with chicken was very different than working with sweets. My mom helped me take out the liver and stuff from the chicken but I did a lot of the work myself. I think cooking can be a very fun hobby. I try to make or find a new recipe every week.

The sweets that I have been making lately are chocolate chip cookies, brownies and cookie cake. I also like Baker's One Bowl Brownies because it is simple and good. For the cookie cake I use Sally's Baking Addiction .


In the near future I hope to make more of that delicious chicken and Sally's Funfetti Cake from scratch .

Hi! My name is Sophie

Hi! My name is Sophie I am Eleven and in 5th grade. I am the oldest of four kids with one brother coming in May. We live in Laurel, Mississippi. I have two brothers, Wes and Ian, and one sister, Vivian. We are all home schooled we are always traveling with my family for my Dad's art.
Since I've been home schooled I've had a crazy last three years. We drove to California and saw wild baby seals at the beach in the Pacific (all while other kids were in school) then within a month we saw the Atlantic ocean.  Also, I have never flown in a plane at all. We also drove to Vermillion, South Dakota while my dad taught a workshop. Then we explored the Bad Lands and Mt Rushmore and took these pictures.

Sometimes it is not fun home schooling, like doing math in the van on our way to California on a weekend but it is nice when other kids are in school and I am at the beach and going to my dad’s art shows. 

Once, on our drive home from a trip to Wisconsin we got stuck in a blizzard and had to spend the night at a hotel that had a Steak and Shake in the back of the parking lot. 

On the lawn of the hotel by the Steak and Shake we had soooo much fun!

 In a couple of weeks we are going to Austin, Texas and we are going to be doing a lot of school work in the car but after I do my school work we are going to look around for thrift stores and have lots of fun.
